The SunFlight Custom Flight Training program is designed for qualified private pilots to continue with their flight training by working toward an instrument rating or commercial rating. Students learn in the same program as our university flight students.

Students must possess an FAA Private Pilot Certificate and FAA Medical prior to the start of this course in order to enroll in one of the customized training programs.

Tuition* includes supervised housing, on-campus meals, course fees, ground lab, flight materials and books.

Note: Final completion of certificated rating is not guaranteed. It is based on each students' abilities and unforeseen circumstances, such as weather and availability of FAA Designated Examiners. In the event of a cancelled flight, we will do our absolute best to modify remaining flights and adjust the schedule to accommodate previously scheduled flight time.

Summer Overnight Camps

Live on campus like Embry-Riddle students and explore career possibilities in flight, mechanical engineering, global security, or what it is like to be a NASA astronaut.

Embry-Riddle's overnight summer programs at the Daytona Beach Campus and Prescott Campus introduce the technology of today to the aviators, engineers, and astronauts of tomorrow.

Students live in on-campus dormitories — under the supervision of approved counselors — and share their initial experience of University living with other young people near their age.
