Aerospace Engineering Astro Track

Aerospace Engineering Astro Track

All sessions are closed for Summer 2017. Registration for Summer 2018 will open on November 1, 2017.

Our “Astronautics Track” Aerospace Engineering program focuses on the fundamental skills needed to develop space mission concepts and how these concepts relate to Astronautical Engineering. This is a mathematics intensive program where students will be challenged to gain a better understanding of rockets, spacecraft, satellites, orbits, and the techniques developed by the American Spaceflight Program. Classes will include Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, Dynamics, Astrodynamics, Altitude Determination and Control, Space Systems Engineering, Propulsion, and the History of the American Spaceflight Program. All classes are taught by ERAU Aerospace Engineering professors who have years of experience in the industry and will ensure students a greater knowledge and understating of space at whole new level!

We will host a graduation lunch on the last day of the program, which parents/families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

For: High School Students ages 15-18 who are interested in aerospace engineering and space

Boeing Scholarship Applications have been awarded for this year and we are no longer able to accept applications for Summer 2017

The Boeing High School Scholars Program is a highly selective program that provides high school students with an opportunity to experience college level course work in engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with other promising engineering peers. The Boeing Corporation in partnership with ERAU Prescott offers full or partial scholarships to cover the cost of an engineering summer program.

Your Boeing Scholarship application does not secure or hold a spot for you. If you wish to guarantee a spot in any specific engineering program, you will also need to pay the deposit, complete the registration packet forms, as well as submit the Boeing application.

If a student is selected to receive a Boeing Scholarship, deposits will be refunded and other non-deposit payments may be refunded according to the total amount of scholarship awarded in conjunction with the payment that we received and the total cost of the program.

If students are not selected to receive a scholarship and wish to cancel their registration, deposits will be refunded upon request, within 30 days of notification of the Boeing Scholarship application decision.

Summer Overnight Camps

Live on campus like Embry-Riddle students and explore career possibilities in flight, mechanical engineering, global security, or what it is like to be a NASA astronaut.

Embry-Riddle's overnight summer programs at the Daytona Beach Campus and Prescott Campus introduce the technology of today to the aviators, engineers, and astronauts of tomorrow.

Students live in on-campus dormitories — under the supervision of approved counselors — and share their initial experience of University living with other young people near their age
