Aerospace Engineering Aero Track

Aerospace Engineering Aero Track

All sessions are closed for Summer 2017. Registration for Summer 2018 will open on November 1, 2017.
Our Aerospace AERO pre-college program teaches the fundamentals of aerospace engineering and the science of flight. Classes include aerodynamics, astrodynamics, robotics, propulsion systems, and aircraft design, as well as an in-depth study of structures and materials, and computer aided design. Students will collaborate with their peers to learn and apply the latest technology in the aerospace engineering industry.

This is a hands-on course. Students will be working with Embry-Riddle faculty in our engineering labs on air and space vehicles while learning the principles of design. Our elite Aerospace Engineering Professors have over 10+ years of experience in the field, and will give students the opportunity to test their newly learned skills in competitions throughout the week. Competitions include the aerodynamic flight testing of balsa wood gliders, and the structural testing of 3D printed plastic models.

We will host a graduation lunch on the last day of the program, which parents/families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

For: High School Students ages 15-18 who are interested in aerospace engineering

Program Fee: TBA

Program Dates: Sunday, June 24-Friday, June 29, 2018

Location: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott, 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301

Boeing Scholarship Applications have been awarded for this year and we are no longer able to accept applications for Summer 2017

The Boeing High School Scholars Program is a highly selective program that provides high school students with an opportunity to experience college level course work in engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with other promising engineering peers. The Boeing Corporation in partnership with ERAU Prescott offers full or partial scholarships to cover the cost of an engineering summer program.

Your Boeing Scholarship application does not secure or hold a spot for you. If you wish to guarantee a spot in any specific engineering program, you will also need to pay the deposit, complete the registration packet forms, as well as submit the Boeing application.

If a student is selected to receive a Boeing Scholarship, deposits will be refunded and other non-deposit payments may be refunded according to the total amount of scholarship awarded in conjunction with the payment that we received and the total cost of the program.

If students are not selected to receive a scholarship and wish to cancel their registration, deposits will be refunded upon request, within 30 days of notification of the Boeing Scholarship application decision.

Summer Overnight Camps

Live on campus like Embry-Riddle students and explore career possibilities in flight, mechanical engineering, global security, or what it is like to be a NASA astronaut.

Embry-Riddle's overnight summer programs at the Daytona Beach Campus and Prescott Campus introduce the technology of today to the aviators, engineers, and astronauts of tomorrow.

Students live in on-campus dormitories — under the supervision of approved counselors — and share their initial experience of University living with other young people near their age
